July 10, 2007 Town Board minutes

Town of Lake Mills
July 10, 2007


Meeting was called to order by Chairperson Heinz.  All members were
present.  Motion made by Supervisor Schroeder to approve the agenda as
amended, seconded by Supervisor Berns.  Carried.  Motion made by
Supervisor Berns to approve the minutes of the June monthly meeting,
seconded by Supervisor Schroeder.  Carried.  Motion made by Supervisor
Berns to approve the Treasurer’s Report, seconded by Supervisor 
Schroeder.  Carried.  Motion made by Supervisor Schroeder to approve
the General Fund Vouching of $93,608.58, seconded by Supervisor Berns.
 Carried.  
    The Police report was read by Chief Robert Delaney.  Chairperson
Heinz reported that the Joint Rock Lake Committee’s Informational
Brochure is complete and the police officers on lake patrol have been
distributing.
Motion made by Chairperson Heinz to table the discussion of the
snowplowing contract with Forest Landscaping and Construction,
seconded by Supervisor Schroeder.  Carried.
Motion made by Supervisor Schroeder to adopt the Fireworks Ordinance,
seconded by Supervisor Berns.  Roll Call Vote:  Chairperson Heinz-aye,
Supervisor Schroeder-aye, Supervisor Berns-aye.  Carried.
Motion made by Supervisor Berns to approve the bid for tree trimming
and brushing from Beaver Tree Service for $4,000.00 for Stoney Creek
Road, seconded by Supervisor Schroeder.  Carried.
No action taken on the discussion of the condition of Shorewood Hills
Road.  Resident Patrick Kain, was present to report about the excess
of loose gravel, the noise caused by the gravel, hazardous conditions
for bikers and walkers as well as the mess.  
    Motion made by Supervisor Schroeder to approve the Special Event
permit for the AIDS Network biking event on August 4, seconded by
Supervisor Berns. Carried.
    Motion made by Supervisor Schroeder to approve the Special Event
permit for London Depot’s Block party, seconded by Supervisor Berns. 
Carried.
    Motion made by Supervisor Schroeder to approve Resolution 2007-06
making the Town of Lake Mills the responsible unit for applying to the
Waterway’s Commission Grant, seconded by Berns.  Roll Call Vote: 
Chairperson Heinz-aye, Supervisor Schroeder-aye, Supervisor Berns-aye.
 Carried.
    Motion made by Supervisor Schroeder to adjourn, seconded by
Supervisor Berns.  Carried.
    These minutes are unapproved.  Any corrections made thereto will be
noted in the proceedings of the next meeting in which they are
approved.
