December 11, 2007 Town Board minutes

Town of Lake Mills
December 11, 2007

Meeting was called to order by Chairperson Heinz.  All members were
present.  Motion made by Supervisor Berns to adopt the agenda,
seconded by Supervisor Schroeder.  Carried.  Motion made by Supervisor
Schroeder to approve the minutes of the special meeting of the
electors seconded by Supervisor Berns.  Carried.  Motion made by
Supervisor Berns to approve the minutes of the November Monthly
meeting, seconded by Supervisor Schroeder.  Carried.  Motion made by
Supervisor Schroeder to approve the Treasurer’s report, seconded by
Supervisor Berns.  Carried.  Motion made by Supervisor Schroeder to
approve the General Fund Vouching of $69,669.32, seconded by
Supervisor Berns.  Carried.  
The police report was read by Chief Robert Delaney.  Chairperson
Heinz reported that the Joint Rock Lake Committee is reviewing the
town ordinance which regulates vehicle on the ice of Rock Lake and
will make a recommendation to the town board.  The town board will
discuss the issue at the January monthly meeting.  
Period of Public Comment:  Arlie Wilke Jr. received information
regarding Natural Hazards Mitigation Planning.  The group would like
input regarding the handling of hazardous materials during events such
as flooding.  
Motion made by Supervisor Schroeder to approve the request for
Accessory Land Division of a three acre lot with the existing
residence and outbuildings for Marianne Buchanan on Hope Lake Road,
seconded by Supervisor Berns.  Roll Call Vote:  Chairperson Heinz-aye,
Supervisor Schroeder-aye, Supervisor Berns-aye.  Carried  Motion made
by Supervisor Schroeder to approve the request for split and rezone
from A-1 to A-3, two parcels referred to as Lot 1 and Lot 3 on the
preliminary plat provided, both of which are one acre in size,
seconded by Supervisor Berns.  Roll Call vote:  Chairperson Heinz-aye,
Supervisor Schroeder-aye, Supervisor Berns-aye.  Carried.  The
representative for Mrs. Buchanan signed the affidavit indicating that
they are aware that no further parcel splits are allowed by town
ordinance for the parent parcel.
Motion made by Chairperson Heinz to appoint the following individuals
as town election officials, Diana Schroeder, Victoria Raatz, Ann
Davis, Jean Korban, Kathy Kain, Margaret Pezzi, Thomas Pezzi, Jean
Taylor, Lorraine Dehnert, Sandra Meyer, Delores Gates Dorothy Hughs,
Laruie Lawrence,Sandra Meyer, Jackie Nelson, Dixie Stetson, and Merle
Tarnutzer, seconded by Supervisor Schroeder.  Roll Call vote: 
Chairperson Heinz-aye, Supervisor Schroeder-aye, Supervisor Berns-aye.
 Carried.  The election official terms are for two years and are to be
reappointed in odd numbered years in December.
Motion made by Supervisor Schroeder to approve the Treasurer’s Tax
bond for $165.00 with The Horton Group, seconded by Supervisor Berns. 
Carried.
Meeting Dates:  The Joint Rock Lake Committee will not be holding a
meeting in January 2008 and the Town Plan Commission will be meeting
Wednesday, Jan 2, 2008 at 7:30 pm at the town hall due to the New Year
Holiday.  
Motion made by Supervisor Schroeder to adjourn, seconded by
Supervisor Berns.  Carried.
These minutes are unapproved.  Any corrections made thereto will be
noted in the proceedings of the next meeting in which they are
approved.
