April 2, 2008 Plan Commission

Plan Commission Meeting
April 2, 2008

Meeting was called to order by Plan Chairperson Eugene Hasel.  All
members were present except Tom Berns and Hope Oostdik.  Motion made
by Eugene Hasel to move item number 2 of Old Business between items #4
and #5, seconded by Steve Nass.  Carried.  Motion made by Steve Nass
to nominate Eugene Hasel as Plan Commission Chairperson, seconded by
James Battist. Steve Nass motioned to close nominations and cast a
unanimous ballot.  Carried.
Motion made by James Battist to nominate Steve Nass as Plan
Commission Vice Chairperson, seconded by Steve Nass, James Battist
motioned to close nominations and to cast a unanimous ballot. 
Carried.  Motion made by Steve Nass to nominate Hope Oostdik as Plan
Commission Secretary, seconded by Eugene Hasel.  Steve Nass motioned
to close nominations and to cast a unanimous ballot.  Carried. Town
Clerk swore in officers of the Plan Commission.
    Motion made by Steve Nass to approve the minutes of the March
monthly meeting, seconded by James Battist.  Carried.  
Reports:  Eugene Hasel reported that the ATC Route zig zags across
CTH G according to the last information he received, also that the
Rasmussen property on CTH S is potentially being sold to a developer. 
There was some brief discussion regarding the sanitary sewer status of
the property.  Steve Nass reported that the County is looking for
feedback from towns regarding the proposed change in farm
consolidations from allowing 3 acres to 5 acres.  The town will write
a letter or sign the notice papers if received from the County.  Town
Board Chairperson Jim Heinz reported that the ETZ committee is working
on their ordinance regarding enforcement issues.  
    Discussion of Town ordinance 5-4 Subdivisions. The committee
reviewed the town attorney’s letter of opinion, reviewed the pier
ordinance and how it affects the Subdivision ordinance and requested
examples of the impervious surface regulations from the County. 
Chairperson Heinz will add the penalties to the ordinance. No action
taken.
    Steve Nass motioned to adjourn, seconded by James Battist. 
Carried.
These minutes are unapproved.  Any corrections made thereto will be
noted in the proceedings of the next meeting in which they are
approved.
