Plan Commission
January 3, 2012
Meeting was called to order at 8 PM Tuesday January 3, 2012 by Plan Commission Chairperson Eugene Hasel. Roll call: Steve Nass absent, all other members were present. Motion, Colegrove to accept the agenda as printed second, Heinz; motion passed. Colegrove motioned to approve the minutes from December and Battist second, passed.

Filed applications:
1). Conditional Use Permit for a Kennel License for 3 to 4 dogs for Kari and Tom Buechel. Jim Colegrove motioned to approve the kennel license for 4 dogs for a period of two years after two years the conditional use will need to be reviewed. Second by Jim Battist. Roll call vote: Hasel, Aye; Colegrove, Aye; Battist, Aye; Heinz, No; motion passed. The town board will need to notify the Buechel's to appear for renewal in two years, the desire of the town is that they will get down to 2 dogs in that time so a conditional use and kennel license will not be required again.
New Business:
1). The date for the April Plan Commission meeting will be April 4th because of elections. Motion: Hasel, second Colegrove; passed.
2). Discussion of Jefferson County's Agricultural Preservation and Land Use Plan: Motion: Heinz to table this until the February meeting second by Colegrove; motion passed.
Old Business:
1). Information discussion on yard waste disposal sites. A sample of survey questions were reviewed. No action taken.
2). Information discussion about applying for TRID Program for London Road Reconstruction: The application was approved by the county committee, Hope is still working with the county highway department to refine the application which will be sent into the state by mid January.
3). Discussion of proposed amendments to Town Ordinance 2-5 Regulation and Licensing of Direct Sellers, Transient, Merchants and Solicitors. The ordinance was reviewed line by line and a few corrections and revisions were made, Robin will make the final corrections and revisions and send Jim Colegrove a copy for review before the Town Board meeting on January 10, 2012. Motion: Heinz second by Battist to move the Ordinance onto the Town Board; motion passed.
4). Discussion of possible violation in the town: Mark Michel built a 16' x 27" AG Building without getting a Building Placement. Robin was instructed to write a letter to Michel stating they will need to apply for the Building Placement. A copy of the Town Ordinance along with the information sheet that is given out at the county when the county zoning permit is applied for instructing the applicant to check with the town for additional permits required.
