Information Received by the Town of Lake Mills today, March 17, 2026, from Johns Disposal:
Due to the severe winter storm that impacted our area yesterday, Johns made the decision not to operate collection routes for the day in order to prioritize the safety of our drivers and the public. In addition, several local landfills and disposal facilities were closed or operating with limited access, preventing trucks from unloading.
As a result, Johns will have delayed all remaining collection routes by one day for the rest of the week. For example, routes normally scheduled for Wednesday will occur on Thursday, Thursday routes will occur on Friday, and Friday routes will occur on Saturday.
This adjustment will allow Johns team to safely work through the missed service day while ensuring that all residents still receive collection within the week.
Johns asks that resident leave their carts at the curb until collection has occurred.
