Assessment information is available from the town assessor Equity Appraisal (608) 826-0009 or at the Jefferson County Land Information website.
Special Assessment Letters: available by mail for a fee plus postage from the Town Treasurer. Letter includes a copy of the tax bill. Contact the Treasurer for fee amount or view our fee schedule. Fee is subject to change.

The town assessors periodically do exterior inspections of properties in the town. They will have identification on them and will leave a notice to contact them to schedule an appointment if you are not present at the time they visit the property.
2025 Revaluation Information
Assessment Roll is Open for Examination and Open Book
STATE OF WISCONSIN
Town of Lake Mills, Jefferson County
Pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 7O.45, the assessment roll for the Year 2O25 assessment will be open for examination by appointment with the Town Clerk when the roll is available.
Additionally, the assessor shall be available at the Town Hall from 3pm to 7pm on September 24. 2025 and 12pm to 3pm on September 25, 2025 at the Town of Lake Mills Hall, 1111 South Main Street, Lake Mills, WI 53551 or by email at equityappraisalsm@yahoo.com or phone (608)826-0009 up to or during Open book sessions.
Instructional material will be provided at the open book to persons who wish to object to valuations under Wis. Stat. § 7O.47.
